The Nelson Marlborough region offers some of the best brown trout fishing in the world…

For over 20 years Helicopters Nelson have been transporting locals and visitors from all over the world (some very famous) to some of our best known fishing spots. Guides are available for day trips or if you are already familiar with the area you have the option of day trips or overnight hut stays.

Fishing Trips by Helicopter

Helicopters Nelson offer a wide variety of fishing adventures from trout fishing in our spectacular remote back-country to salt water fishing charters in the Marlborough Sounds. With three generations of helicopter flying experience in the region we know where to take you for that ultimate catch and enjoyable day out.

Please note:

Helicopters Nelson aim to promote a sustainable fishery into the future and encourage all users to respect others sharing the rivers. Our company works within the Kahurangi National Park bylaws which includes a maximum of 3 nights at any one hut. If anglers wish to move along the rivers as they fish we recommend a maximum of 5 days stay within the park. This means that all users have the opportunity to share the fishing, and the locals who make a living from the rivers can still have good fishing opportunities.
