After introductions with your pilot and yoga instructor, board your private helicopter and track west into Kahurangi National Park – The Maori word Kahurangi means “Treasured possession”. Kahurangi is the 2nd largest and most diverse national park in NZ – both in terms of land forms, habitats and native animal species. Your first landing will be at a private mountain location, where your yoga instructor will guide you through relaxation and mindfulness exercises.

Once you are relaxed and ready to leave the mountains we will fly west to meet the rugged and uninhabited north-west coastline, for a landing on a private beach. Here your yoga instructor will take you through a private and tailored yoga session, for approx. 1 hour. Enjoy the natural sounds of the waves and winds as they lap the shores taking you to another dimension.

Following your yoga session, mindfully soak up the natural beauty while enjoying a leisurely gourmet picnic lunch on the beach. Our lunches can be tailored to suit any dietary requests and we will focus on healthy and nutritious food options sourced from our region.

Once refreshed board the helicopter once again for your flight home enjoying views towards Farewell Spit and the Golden Bay coastline.

This special day will recharge your body, mind and spirit, peacefully re-connecting you to the natural beauty of this land.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • A pre-flight introduction will discuss and specific needs or intentions for your Yoga practices
  • Any relevant background/medical history/recent injuries or areas of interest you would like to explore will be catered for.
  • A health and safety form will be provided, to complete prior to the trip
  • Passengers over 250 lbs may be subject to weight restriction fee.
  • Trips are weather dependent and may be modified to suit weather and mountain safety requirements.
  • Clients must be equipped with appropriate clothing, a warm jacket, closed in shoes and we recommend they bring along a personal water bottle.
