Arapawa Island Blue Pearl Farm Tour

Bucket-list travel in our changing world is all about deep connection, extraordinary experiences, and even better, making our planet a better place to live in.

Arapawa Island Blue Pearl Tours not only have all of that, but will also teach you the secrets behind the exotic and unique blue pearls you find in their exquisite jewelry.

The story of Arapawa Blue Pearls is a simple one. Two divers who fell in love with the abalone, known to New Zealand maori as paua.

As a family business, Mike and Antonia are dedicated to bringing you beautiful blue pearls and sharing their passion with you.

As custodians of the unique New Zealand paua, they focus on sustainability and what is best for the regeneration of this very special sea creature. There is nowhere else in the world you can experience this!

Learn how to grow and harvest the paua and blue pearls. Sample the delicacy that is New Zealand abalone, cooked to your preference as either a whole steak, or cut into slices and cooked in butter (grass-fed of course!) with garlic. Home baking with tea and coffee complete your visit to Arapawa, however, you will have the option to purchase the exquisite jewelry, designed and made by a local jeweler.
