  • Sailing: Private overnight charter aboard a Leopard 46 catamaran with skipper. The helicopter will drop you at Awaroa Beach at approximately 1 pm to meet your skipper and board the catamaran. Disembark at Kaiteriteri Beach at approximately 4 pm the following day.
  • Meals: Alpine picnic lunch, followed by dinner, breakfast and lunch onboard.
  • Paddle boards, kayaks, snorkelling and fishing gear.
  • Final transfer: Private road transfer from Kaiteriteri to your onshore accommodation with Wine Art & Wilderness.

Private overnight helicopter and sailing adventure

Helicopters Nelson, Abel Tasman Sailing Adventures and Wine Art & Wilderness have come together to create a private overnight journey through the Nelson Tasman region.

Your adventure begins at the Helicopters Nelson base at Nelson Airport. After check-in and a safety briefing, fly into Kahurangi National Park for a remote alpine landing, with time to take in the views and enjoy a picnic lunch. Then continue over Abel Tasman National Park’s golden beaches and turquoise bays before landing at Awaroa Beach.

There, your skipper from Abel Tasman Sailing Adventures will welcome you aboard a spacious Leopard 46 catamaran. Spend the afternoon exploring the coast your way: swim, kayak, paddleboard, walk ashore or simply relax onboard. Enjoy dinner and a night anchored in a sheltered bay, followed by breakfast and more time on the water the next day. Lunch is served onboard before you arrive at Kaiteriteri Beach.

Wine Art & Wilderness will meet you at Kaiteriteri for a private transfer to your onshore accommodation, bringing your journey to a relaxed close.
